I have played around with colour filters, reverse effect and the opacity. After asking a couple of people they said it works but I should fade out the filters so that it runs smoothly into the final cut.
At the moment I am just playing around with different effects and filters I could use. I have found that the ghosting effect can go really well with the music but it can become quite hectic. If I do decide to use it I will only be using it on a few shots. Another thing that I will most likely use is film burns. This gives it a really summery feel and just makes everything so colourful which stands out. We have decided that Tom will sing the last two verses up on westbury horse while the sun is setting. This works well because it starts with Tom singing on the White horse and can end in the same way. It is also good because it will be golden hour which means we can get some soft red colours which will be visually pleasing for the viewer. I'm hoping that we could get some lens flair like we have at the start because it makes it look more summery.
After some discussion with Tom we have decided to not include Motocross in the music video. The reason for this is that it will be hard to get some of the shots of the rider because their will be lots of other racers on the track which will make it difficult to keep track of him. We also believe we have enough footage as it is (still need to film sunset) to work with.
If we need extra footage Tom said he can ride his motorbike with the go pro mounted to his helmet or chest which will give us some good shots as a B Ro After an hour cycle with all the camera equipment we finally got the the filming location. The track (which takes about a minute to ride down) took us around 30mins to walk up because of how boggy it was in the middle of the track and how hot it was. We got to the top and set up the camera equipment. I filmed a few shots of Jake (The Mountain Biker) walking up the hill and looking over the track. We spent a couple of hours there filming different sections, also using the Go pro to get some action shots. We got everything we needed and called it a day.
We arrived at the hill at around 10:45 and set up the camera equipment. We got both the Longboarders to the top of the hill while we set up a timelapse over the landscape and weighed up the glide cam. We didn't have long to film so we had no messing about and got straight into it. Both me and Tom were quickly moving the cameras around and set up the Go pros which gave us some amazing moving shots. We After lots of time doing six Call Sheets, Risk Assessments and Location Recce's they are finally done. Tom has filmed the shots at the skatepark and I am filming the Moutain biking on Friday. The weather is getting better now so this means we can film a lot more this week.
After waking up at 4am ready to film the sunrise we both left at 4:30 am arriving at Westbury white horse at 5am, This painfully early wake up was definitely worth it though. We sent the tent up and put all the film gear in, Tom made some soup as I set the camera up ready for the timelapse. We then left the camera for an hour with a 3 second interval as the sunrises. Whilst this was happening we used the Glidecam to film the shots of Tom. We left at 8am making it a fast morning of filming. On Tuesday Tom will be filming the shots at the skate park then I will be filming the mountain biking on Wednesday.
