Shot Types and Camera Movement:
I will be using four different shot types in my film. Long shot, Close up, over the shoulder and point of view. These shots work brilliant together because they all show what the character is looking at and the expressions he is pulling on his face. The use of Long shot will show how large the college is and the big issue the character has. The use of the long shot is good when the character is running to his lesson then bursting in the room because it makes it extremely dramatic and shows all of his surroundings. The close up is a great way to show the characters facial expressions. This is good because the audience can see how tough it is for him and how anxious he is. The over shoulder shot is a good way of showing what the character is looking at because you get in the whole picture and from his perspective. This also shows us how large the college is and what he is up against for his first day. The point of view shot really captures what the character is looking at. There are many things you can do with the point of view shot which adds effect. for example you can move the camera faster to show the character is scared or tense. This shot is superb for when the character is looking at his watch to find out he is late because you can see the watch face in brilliant quality because of how close the camera is too the watch.
