One of the methods they used to distribute 21 Jump Street was the use of a trailer they had on television. This was good because a lot of people watch television and because its a film it appeals to lots of people who watch TV. There was also posters up and around America promoting the film. This meant that people that do Not have a television could see that this film was coming out and they could watch it in the cinema.
There has been a lot of positive reviews on 21 Jump street. It's witty and action packed but at the same time packs a decent storyline into it." Most reviews I have read have been extremely positive, really showing how much of a brilliant film it is. "The chemistry between Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum is brilliant" Says a user called JeanRalphio. Catherine Bray from Film 4 wrote "A good-natured must-see for fans of broad, silly comedies with a little something under the surface too. Bright, breezy and brilliant." Top Gear:
Top Gear is made by BBC. It was first shown in 1977 right the way through to 2001.But then it was relaunched on 20th of October 2002 which proved very popular.
The programme is estimated to have around 350 million views per week in 170 different countries. This is a significant amount for a television programme. Another incredible fact is that Top Gear is the most Illegally downloaded television programme. This really tells us how popular it is and how badly some people want to watch it. Because of how famous Top Gear has become over time, celebrity's want to engage in the action by trying to beat other celebrity's times in 'Star In a Reasonably Priced Car'. Because of these remarkable celebrity's, it gives the public something to look forward too in the programme, As well as all the caravan destruction which happens!
There are a lot of very strong views on Top Gear, there is a great deal of positive views and a lot of negative reviews, usually because Jeremy Clarkson has said something to offend a country or even a religion. For example, the BBC received 600 complaints on the third episode in series 16, After pretending they murdered an over weight Albanian and attempted to find out what boot he would fit in best out of three, Also criticized for stereotypes views on Albania claiming its a nest for Mafia car thieves. They also sustained complaints from four views in December 2006 after comments considered to be homophobic reference.
One review on a review on a forum wrote "Top Gear is getting Lazy! A season with only 6 episodes? Is there really nothing happening in the Car world... or are they trying to let the show slowly die?". Further more a person under the online name Cyrusnayeri wrote Top Gear is the most mind numbing programme ever to appear on television. I can't see why anyone wants to see three middle aged men drive cars around. What is the point of some of the things they do for example the stupidity of trying to drop caravans on a target, then to make it worse BBC allow it to be aired for a complete hour! Although these reviews and criticism distinguish this show there are some brilliant reviews showing a whole different view on the programme. For instance a user posted on a forum saying "I love the banter, the way the cars are reviewed and the challenged they have". Another person wrote "This show is basically and always will be a classic" Another interesting thing is that famous actor Tom Cruise is such a big fan of Top Gear that he went out of his way at Jack Reacher's London Premiere to make sure he spent some red carpet time with special guest James May and the Stig.
